Comedy Wildlife Awards finalists revealed
You can see them all at a free exhibition in London this December
The Nikon Comedy Wildlife Awards finalist for 2025 have just been announced – and this year’s line-up includes foxes hitting the dance floor, squirrels having bad hair days and leopards having a gossip session.
Held annually since 2015, the awards aim to fuse “exceptional wildlife photography and the positive power of humour” to help promote the conservation of wildlife and habitats around the globe.
This year’s competition will once again support the Whitley Fund for Nature, a UK charity that supports conservation pioneers across the Global South.
With nearly 10,000 entries from 108 countries, competition was fierce, and just 40 standalone images, three portfolio entries and ten videos made the cut.
Stefan Maier, Nikon Europe senior general manager of marketing, said, “The Nikon Comedy Wildlife finalists are in, and we’re excited to share with you the brilliant images showcasing unique talent of photographers from every corner of the globe.
“These images combine wit and wonder to celebrate nature’s character, while emphasising the urgency of conservation. At Nikon, we’re proud to support a competition that sparks joy while reminding us why our wild world is worth protecting.”
The winners will be announced on 9 December, with a free exhibition featuring all the finalists going on display at the Gallery@Oxo in London between 10-14 December.
