Ho Chi Minh City, formerly named Saigon, is the largest city in Vietnam. The Saigon Skydeck located on the 49th floor of the Bitexco Financial Tower has sweeping 360 degree views of the entire city and the Saigon River. This skyscraper provides an essential window on this incredible city and will offer you a valuable insight into its past, present and future.

About one hour’s drive from Ho Chi Minh City, the Cu Chi tunnels are an enormous underground network of connecting passages used in the Vietnam War as hiding spots, as well as communication and supply routes. Embark on a tour of the tunnels to understand just how far the Vietnam has come since those dark days of conflict.

There is an opportunity here to visit a traditional floating village and learn more about the fishermen who earn their living on these stunning coastal waters.

Another UNESCO World Heritage Site is Hoi An, once the major Vietnamese trading centre for pepper, cinnamon, porcelain and silk. Wander through the narrow streets of the Old Town, famous for its many tailor shops creating bespoke items such as suits and shoes.

For a once in a lifetime experience, the spectacular mountain scenery of Sapa gives you the opportunity to visit local ethnic communities, hike through padi fields and explore local markets. The overnight train journey from Hanoi to Sapa is highly recommended. The views from your carriage of the lush Vietnamese countryside along the way make this an experience not to be missed.
