Niigata and Tsuruoka are two historical cities that stand out for their gastronomic delights.
Found on the north-east coast of Japan, each city’s culinary style has been shaped by the farmlands, oceans and mountains that surround them and though they may be 140km apart, their celebration of the landscape unites them in reputation: as true culinary capitals of Japan.
