The position offers a unique opportunity to help grow Wanderlust’s global presence, with a particular focus on emerging markets and Asia. With a magazine circulation exceeding 200,000 and more than 1.2M monthly online visitors, the new member of our team will connect destinations and brands with our readership of highly engaged, discerning travellers. The right candidate will be an excellent communicator, have a flair for commercial acumen and will be highly driven to excel in a competitive and demanding landscape.

Web & Interaction Designer

We’re seeking a creative professional to elevate our digital storytelling. The ideal candidate will command a strong flair for interactive, immersive, and multimedia experiences, to bring destinations and brands to life through compelling design.

International Partnerships & Advertising

About the role

Based in Central London, the new position covering International Partnerships & Advertising will play a crucial role in our expansion, focusing on revenue growth and strategic partnerships. You’ll be responsible for developing and optimizing our sales inventory across digital, print, and events, with a strong focus on emerging markets worldwide, including Asia.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue by selling profitable campaigns to new clients and expanding relationships with existing partners through strategic account management.
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to develop to support a comprehensive sales strategy across digital, print, and event platforms, with an emphasis on new business and the Asia Pacific market
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to Wanderlust’s profitability and growth.
  • Expand and optimize our digital inventory to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Identify new market opportunities that can drive profit and add value to the business.
  • Mentor and support a team of sales executives, fostering their professional development and increasing their productivity.
  • Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer to enhance efficiency and profitability across the business.
  • Provide detailed forecasts, results, and strategic insights directly to senior management.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities efficiently, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Represent Wanderlust at industry events, conferences, and meetings, both locally and globally, and become a trusted brand ambassador for our partners. These are integral to the role and include evenings, weekends and multi-day travel to international destinations across the year.

  • Travel enthusiast: A passion for travel, especially in the style of Wanderlust, is essential.
  • A passion for digital media and print publishing.
  • An excellent communicator, well presented, and able to convince and persuade.
  • Business savvy: Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify and act on new revenue opportunities.

Web & Interaction Designer

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be an integral part of our digital design team, crafting beautiful, story-led editorial experiences and campaign microsites using modern, no/low-code tools like Elementor and Webflow. From fast-turnaround commercial pages to major editorial initiatives, you’ll collaborate across teams to produce compelling visual content that excites our readers and clients alike.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and build interactive editorial experiences on our current WordPress site using Elementor
  • Create bespoke microsites and campaign hubs using Webflow or similar tools
  • Curate and integrate high-impact photography and video for visual storytelling
  • Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure your work reflects Wanderlust’s tone and brand identity
  • Rapidly prototype digital concepts and editorial pitches in Figma
  • Present your work with clear rationale and confidence

Essential skills & experience:

  • A portfolio showcasing a flair for design, with bold, story-driven web design
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
  • Working knowledge of Elementor, Webflow, or similar page builders is a big plus
  • Good grasp of UX/UI principles and responsive design
  • Sharp visual instincts — especially with layout, hierarchy, and photography
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A passion for thoughtful, transformative travel is a must!

Bonus points for:

  • Experience designing for print or digital publications
  • Travel sector or destination marketing experience
  • Motion design, animation, or video editing skills
  • Light coding (HTML/CSS) for fine-tuning elements
