South Korea launches new e-Arrival card South Korea launches new e-Arrival card

You can submit the form up to three days before arrival
03 March 2025

Our 2024 Destination of the Year, South Korea is high on many travellers’ to-visit lists. Whether you’re looking to follow in the footsteps of your favourite K-pop idols or K-drama stars, or just want to explore Korean culture, there are plenty of reasons to visit right now.

And if a 2025 trip is on the cards, you should know that the country has introduced a new e-Arrival card to replace the current paper arrival form system.

Launched at the end of February, the e-Arrival card (e-arrivalcard.go.kr) can be submitted in the three days before entering the country – including on the day of arrival. The service is free to use.

You’ll need to submit a photo of your passport bio page, and fill out your entry and departure information, including dates and flight numbers, as well as your purpose for visiting, your place of residence and contact information. You won’t need to carry a copy of the submitted e-Arrival card when arriving in the country.

South Korea plans to scrap the current paper arrival form system after December 2025.

More than 100 countries are exempt from getting a visa for trips of less than 90 days, including the UK, USA, Australia and members of the Schengen zone.
