WanderSleeps, is back for 2026 and this year we are asking for your help in selecting the final list of the world’s most and distinctive, characterful and meaningful places to stay.

Our editorial team have carefully curated a shortlist of 100 very special properties, each one previously featured, reviewed or experienced by Wanderlust first-hand. Knowing how well-travelled you are, we are now asking you to vote across five different categories: Urban Sleeps, History & Heritage Sleeps, Sense of Place Sleeps, Wildlife & Nature Sleeps, and Eco-conscious Sleeps.

Select your favourites from the shortlist across five categories – or suggest your own –  and you will be entered into a draw to win a 5-night stay for two in any shortlisted property, with flights included.

Urban sleeps celebrates stays that feel inseparable from the streets around them, places that reflect local culture, history and energy while offering a genuine sense of comfort and escape. Sense of Place Sleeps recognise stays that reflect where they are through design, food, materials and meaningful local connections. We want to know which hotel embedded in its surroundings best? In Nature & Wildlife Sleeps, we want to know which stay brought you closest to the natural world? Hotels that immerse guests in extraordinary landscapes and wildlife, while respecting and protecting the environments they depend on. Eco-conscious Sleeps recognise properties that place sustainability, conservation and community at the heart of the guest experience. Which one of the shortlisted stays set the standard for responsible travel?
